Okrug is situated on the southwest side of island Ciovo, connected with the mainland by road via ancient Trogir. Okrug are actually two places: the Gornji (Upper) and Donji (Lower) Okrug. The name of this typical Dalmatian town comes from the Croatian word “circle” as they are both places distributed along a circular bay on the west side of the island.
